After last years problematic water quality at Deseda lake in July, the race was put to an earlier date this year to avoid the green algae problematic. This decision was good and perfect conditions including water quality were waiting for the participants. The Quadrathlon World Cup race event as usual was organised together with the Extrememan Kaposvár triathlon race. Many thanks to Attila Peter who not only made possible the race for quadrathletes but as a speaker with his continuous broadcasting motivated the athletes every time when they passed the transition area. Starters performed a sprint race including 750 meters swimming, 20 km cycling, 4.25 km kayaking, and 5 km running. The cycling route was completely isolated from the traffic, the swimming, kayak and running course was easily observable by spectators.

The water was comfortable, 25 degrees Celsius, so no wetsuit was allowed for the swimming part. The swimming was lead by Ferenc Csima (HUN), followed in some seconds by Leos Rousavy (CZE) than the youngs Ádám Mácsai and Dániel Rácz (both HUN). Csima and Rousavy kept their place also on the following disciplines while Rácz overtook Mácsai and secured the third place. In the woman’s race Csilla Ódor-Sápi and Bernadett Nagy-Cseke (both HUN) came out from the water head by head. Susanne Walter caught them on the bike and increased her lead until the finish line. The podium was completed by the two Hungarian ladies.
