On Sunday, I joined 15 other women from Wey Kayak

On Sunday, I joined 15 other women from Wey Kayak Club to take on the Deva Divas Quadrathlon – and we all crossed the finish line! 🚣‍♀️🏊‍♀️🚴‍♀️🏃‍♀️

I'm really pleased with how it went. I did much better in the swim than I'd expected, had a strong kayak leg, and although the bike was definitely my slowest discipline, I was genuinely amazed that I wasn't terrified! A huge thank you to Carol, Rob and Edith for helping me build my confidence on the bike beforehand, and to Emma for riding with me on the day (and for encouraging so many of us to enter in the first place - even if we may have cursed you at times 🤣).

By the time I reached the run it was definitely more of a shuffle than a run... but I got it done! 😅

Thank you so much to my mum, Debbie and Kate for coming along to cheer us on, and to all the Wey Kayak Club members who came to support everyone racing. Having people out on the course really does make a difference.

Finally, thank you to everyone who has donated to my fundraiser for Adventure Queens. ❤️ I'll keep the JustGiving page open for a few more days, so if you've been meaning to donate but haven't had the chance yet, I'd be incredibly grateful for any last-minute support.

It's been a tough year for Adventure Queens (and many other non-profits), so every donation really does make a difference in helping us continue to get more women outdoors.
