Even though many things will probably still change

Even though many things will probably still change, we are still #lookingforward to the new season and cross our fingers that many races will take place.

One highlight will be the ExtremeMan in Kapsovar in Hungary. This year there will even be two races. On Saturday a Sprint Quadrathlon (World Cup) and on Sunday finally a long distance race (World Championship). As a club we will continue to adhere to government guidance regarding Covid 19 & social distancing.

So we will be using individual start times instead of a mass swim at this year’s club Tri. This will be an advantage to those who are apprehensive about mass swim starts as competitors will enter the water individually 🏊🏻‍♂️🏊‍♀️

At least in New Zealand there is currently racing

At least in New Zealand there is currently racing under normal conditions. Last weekend, the famous Coast-to-Coast took place:

3 km run - 55 km bike - 33 km run - 15 km bike - 67 km kayak - 70 bike

and this in sepcatular landscape. The winners of the world championship in multisport were the Kiwis Dougal Allan and Simone Maier (born in Germany).

Quadrathlon is our Love and Passion and we want to spread the word about this awesome small sport with a big heart! It is pretty easy to help us promote our favourite sport:

Stick the stickers you find within your envelope to places that are highly frequented by our target group (athletes):
- in front of swimming pools
- next to your own triathlon/kayak/running club
- on „famous places“ like road signs on top of mountains as for example alpine passes, Mont Blanc, the well-known lighthouse-run on Fuerteventura, sports hotels, highly frequented running or cycling routes (you might have already seen some road signs that are covered with stickers)
- on your own front door, car, helmet or bike etc…
- of course you can also give some stickers to friends who are interested in spreading them further.

Once you placed a sticker, take a picture and upload it on social media with some nice or funny hashtags as for example:

Please do only glue the stickers on places where it’s allowed - directly on the front door of the city hall might not be a good idea.

Reposted from @lisa.und.stefan #BehindTheScenes 4th winter of skiroller-training and finally my coordination is acceptable enough to call it a proper Training-Session (though my technique is still horrible 😂 - thus no video yet🙈). The classic technique was a highly demanding and often frustrating challenge, but once you made it, it simply feels awesome to master a new movement 🤗💪

What's your current coordination-challenge?
I choose a new #challenge every three or four years to keep body&brain active.

Any suggestions for which sport I should try next?

And in case there's someone around Heidelberg who wants to teach us some proper classic skiroller-technique: very welcome!! 🥰🤗
