The World Quadrathlon Federation (WQF) is the international sport governing body for Quadrathlon. Quadrathlon is a multi-sport event in which athletes, or teams of athletes participate in a continuous series of four component sports: swim, cycle, paddle and run (the paddle and bike part can be exchanged).
The WQF was established 1997 as European Quadrathlon Federation and exists since 2001 as World Quadrathlon Federation. She has her seat in the Czech Republic and is there registered in the Ministry of Interior, Electoral and Association Department.

The European Championships in Quadrathlon (middle distance) took place in the English town Brigg (North Lincolnshire). Steve Clark (GBR) and the German athlete Lisa Hirschfelder won the title over the distance of 1.5k swim, 8k kayak, 36k bike and 11k run.

Traditionally, the Quadrathlon season was opened on the Balearic island of Ibiza - the birthplace of Quadrathlon. The first World Cup points were gathered by Vicente Roig Riera and María José Morell Salguero (both ESP).
